Possible Power Interruptions on Ƶ Campus on Veterans Day Holiday

The Ƶ Campus may experience power interruptions due to turbine testing on Friday, Nov. 11. Ƶ Ƶ generates a large portion of the power used on the Ƶ Campus. The university will be testing the turbines to check on the reliability and operation of control and distribution systems. Mietek Jaroniec, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at Ƶ, was recently awarded the Medal of Marie Sklodowska-Curie by the Polish Chemical Society for his scientific achievements.  The prestigious medal is awarded to outstanding chemists working permanently abroad for exceptional scientific achievements of international significance and for contributions to the community of Polish chemists. Harriett Bynum, program director for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Ƶ Ƶ East Liverpool, received the Award of Merit from the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association at its annual conference in October. This award is OOTA’s highest level of recognition and is presented to a member who demonstrates qualities of leadership, academics and clinical achievement in the field of occupational therapy in Ohio.
