is a ground-breaking, comprehensive health and human services agency serving communities across Northeast Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania and Michigan. Locations near ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ campuses include but are not limited to: Ravenna, ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ, Akron, Canton, Warren, Youngstown, Chagrin Falls, Lorain and beyond.
Axess serves as an umbrella for over 70 well-established organizations and is celebrated for providing integrated community-based medical and dental services with broad-based social services. Programs include but are not limited to:
- behavioral health (counseling, psychiatry, addiction and other specialized services
- primary healthcare and dentistry
- programs for children, youth, and young adults (supervised visitation programs, behavioral health, foster care, and programs for at risk young adults)
- services for seniors
- disability services
- community centers
- homeless shelters & housing
- domestic violence shelters
- rape crisis services
- veterans services including transitional housing

The Centers

The Centers is a historic, comprehensive health and human services non-profit organization in Greater Cleveland that was created through the merger of five separate agencies and operates across multiple locations in Cuyahoga County, delivering several core services:
- Integrated Health & Wellness: Includes primary care, dental, behavioral health, and addiction treatment. In 2026, the Glick Recovery Campus will be opened to provide mental health and substance use crises services as well as outpatient behavioral health, primary care, and pharmaceutical services.
- Head Start Early Learning & Family Support: Provides early childhood education and family assistance programs for children from birth to age five
- Workforce Services: Offers job training, placement, and retention assistance to help local community members secure sustainable employment.
- Youth Residential Services (Hope Campus): Provides trauma-informed care particularly for multi-system youth navigating behavioral health, developmental disability, juvenile justice, and child welfare systems.
Students who are interested in paid positions while working on their bachelor’s degree or shortly after graduation can seek meaningful work with the Centers, including case management positions (Behavioral Health Specialist I or II):
While internship opportunities are sometimes available for undergraduate psychology students, this will depend on the time of year and the student’s interest.
