“Everyone can see and feel the school spirit thriving on campus as we begin this new school year, and I believe this new Friday tradition will be something we can all look forward to each week as a way to unite us.”
“Blue and Gold Friday promotes the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience,” said Timeka Rashid, associate dean of students and director of the Ƶ Student Center and Center for Student involvement at Ƶ Ƶ. “Whether you are a student, alumni, faculty, staff or member of the community, this is a fun way to bring the Ƶ Ƶ family together, create unity and show your Ƶ Ƶ pride.”
Social Media
Ƶ Ƶ is encouraging social media users to share photos of themselves wearing blue and gold and use #BlueAndGoldFriday to increase awareness and conversations about Ƶ Ƶ Blue and Gold Friday. Also, look for special discounts on blue and gold merchandise in the University Bookstore.
“Challenge your friends, professors and colleagues to participate and make Ƶ Ƶ pride and school spirit ‘what you do,’” Rashid said.
The Blue and Gold Friday tradition at Ƶ Ƶ begins Aug. 29, which also is nationwide, and will continue every Friday.
