Fly the Flag! City of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Seeks Input on New Flag Designs

In June 2022, the city of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ formed a flag committee to choose the new design for the city’s official flag. Of the 68 unique designs submitted by community members, the final choices have been narrowed down to three, and the city wants your input.

Women of the House: Betty Sutton and Emilia Sykes

In 2006, Betty Sutton became the first ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ alumna to serve in the U.S. Congress, when she was elected to represent Ohio’s 13th District in the House of Representatives. Sixteen years later, ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
