Ramadan began at sundown on Feb. 28 and will end at sundown on March 29. This observance is marked in this Islamic observance as a period of spiritual reflection, devotion and community with fasting each day from dawn to sunset. The evening break of the fast is called “ifar.” The Ƶ Ƶ Muslim Students’ Association invited everyone to join them at their Ramadan Fastathon on March 24 in the Ƶ Student Center Ballroom for ifar, with delicious foods, henna tattoos and dhujr bead-making.
During the month of Ramadan, Ƶ Ƶ’s Muslim Students’ Association collected funds to create food boxes that will be donated to nearby mosques to assist families in need.
