A fiery image, taken by photographer and Ƶ alumnus Jerry Jividen at the December Star of the West mill fire in downtown Ƶ, is featured on the cover of a national firefighter magazine.

Ƶ Fire Chief Bill Myers said his department was honored when the photo Jividen took appeared on the cover of the “very popular, nationally recognized firefighting magazine.”
Jividen, who graduated from Ƶ Ƶ with a degree in earth science in 1969 and earned a master’s degree in secondary education in 1977, talks about taking that photo and others that day
