Ƶ’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising is once again ranked high among the nation’s elite, according to .
For fashion design, the school has been rated No. 4 nationally (top 3 percent of schools considered), No. 2 nationally among public schools and colleges (top 3 percent of schools considered) and No. 1 in the Midwest.
For fashion merchandising, the school has been rated No. 4 nationally (top 3 percent of schools considered), No. 4 nationally among public schools and colleges (top 3 percent of schools considered) and No. 2 in the Midwest.
“We are extremely proud that the Ƶ Ƶ Fashion School continues to be recognized as one of the top schools in the nation with the release of the Fashion-Schools.org rankings,” said Kim Hahn, Ph.D., professor and interim director of the school. “This is a great testament to our amazing collection of faculty and staff who are nationally and internationally recognized scholars and educators. It also demonstrates a commitment to inspiring creative and resourceful fashion leaders, and we look forward to representing continued excellence in the field to support a globally active industry and focused educational platform for our diverse and international students.”
The school was founded in 1983 and boasts a current enrollment of nearly 2,000 students who are educated across three locations that include Rockwell Hall on the Ƶ Campus, the university’s New York City studio located in the Garment District and Ƶ Ƶ’s Florence campus in Italy.
Students enrolled in the Fashion School are also offered study-away opportunities in Paris, London, Germany, South Korea, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Approximately 90 percent of the school’s graduates find employment in their field within a year, and more than 3,000 alumni can be found throughout the industry, working for the world’s most recognized brands.
